Just a few days ago Matt 'NEXZ' Wright Founder and CEO announced that has stepped away from SkitLite after 8 years.

Matt Wright will be missed as not only a leader but an individual. His huge kindness and willingness to do the best that he can for people will always be something that we all aspire to at SkitLite.

After supporting a single Call of Duty team back in 2009 he grew the company to a point where his teams and players were qualifying for some of the most prestigious events such as the $1,000,000 Call of Duty XP tournament in 2011 where the team represented Sweden. The Nordics has always been a haven for SkitLite where the talent pool of players was evidently stronger than many nations across the world. Matt's hand picked Call of Duty team won a notable EGL event putting SkitLite on the map.

Since the relaunch in early 2015, Theo Daffurn joined the organisation as a part owner after playing under Matt Wright in a Call of Duty team. This partnership took SkitLite into Finland and more specifically into the CS:GO scene where some of the finest talent was identified and has played for SkitLite. Matt has huge influence in all the operations at SkitLite and contributed many hours to make sure that SkitLite could reach the top in Finland.

Matt had this to say;
"Today is the end of an era. It is with a tear in my eye that I am announcing that I will be stepping down as CEO and a Director at SkitLite. After 8 years of highs and lows I am finally parting ways with the organisation that I started in 2009. I have had the opportunity to work with some amazing people and brands through my 8 years in charge at SkitLite. I would like to thank my business partner and good friend Theo for the fantastic work he has done coming into SkitLite 2 years ago. Theo will be taking SkitLite onwards and upwards. I would also like to thank everyone who made SkitLite a success throughout my time running the brand including players, staff, fans, sponsors and competitors. It has been a pleasure."

Theo has been appointed the tough role of CEO and will take control with immediate effect.

Theo had this to say;
"I wish Matthew well from the bottom of my heart. He helped me get involved in eSports and the business from as early as 2009 and I am forever grateful. It is however time to look forward and ensure that SkitLite remains authentic and dead centre of the flourishing Finnish scene as we all continue our work in the space along side our fantastic sponsors. While SkitLite may undergo some changes, we will work tirelessly to restructure the company for the better."

From all of us at SkitLite we wish Matt well in his future endeavours and hope he finds success.
